Fish Taco and North Italia are set to open this week at The Boro in Tysons.
The new Tysons location (1644 Boro Place) will be Fish Taco’s fourth location and first location outside of Maryland.
An employee at the eatery said that Fish Taco plans to hold a soft opening on Thursday (Feb. 6), followed by an official opening on Friday (Feb. 7).
Like the name suggest, Fish Taco serves up seafood rice bowls, tacos, salads, burritos and quesadillas.
Fish Taco’s regular hours will be from 10:30 a.m.-8L30 p.m. on Mondays, 10:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 10:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m. on Fridays, 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m.-8:30 p.m. on Sundays.
Meanwhile, the Italian restaurant chain North Italia plans to open Wednesday (Feb. 5) at 1651 Boro Place.
The restaurant’s regular hours will be from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. on Fridays, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. on Sundays and 10 a.m.-11 p.m. on Saturdays. North Italia will have happy hour from 3-6 p.m. on weekdays.

A luxury tower with condominiums plans to celebrate its grand opening this weekend in The Boro.
Known as Verse, the 25-story-tall tower offers one-, two- and three-bedroom condos, along with a private outdoor lounge and fitness spa.
The building has 140 residences — the one-bedrooms start at $500,000, two-bedrooms at $850,000 and three-bedrooms at $1.2 million.
The grand opening celebration is set to take place from noon-4 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 25) at the entertainment lounge and sky park on the 9th floor.
The event is free and people interested in attending are encouraged to RVSP on Eventbrite.
How young people live, work and play in Tysons dominated two panels at a Bisnow event earlier today.
The Bisnow event was held at Boro Tower, bringing together real estate professionals to talk about the future of Tysons. When thinking about what will make Tysons appealing now and several years from now, developers and real estate investors said they want to make decisions that will encourage young professionals to come to the area and stay.
The first panel kicked off a discussion of office space, with panelists lamenting that people who come to work in Tysons leave in the late afternoon and don’t stick around.
“Millennials do not want to be in a nondescript office building that is hard to get to,” Mukang Cho, the CEO of Morning Calm Management, said.
As far as nightlife goes, Gary Block, the chief investment officer of The Meridian Group — the developers of The Boro, said that innovative concepts with bars and restaurants can bring people together when the sun goes down.
“You wouldn’t think the second story of a grocery store would be a destination for a bar,” Block said, referring to the popular High Point bar in The Boro’s Whole Foods.
Block said that people who live, work or arrive at The Boro can expect activities in public spaces throughout the week.
The combination of walkability, entertainment options, shopping, apartments, office spaces and fitness opportunities make The Boro a neighborhood, Block said. Or, as a sign on a window in the Boro Tower said, “Tysons’ First Neighborhood.”
Deirdre Johnson, the vice president of Federal Realty, agreed, calling The Boro the “new Tysons downtown.”
While Tysons’ identity has long rested on its malls — especially Tysons Corner Center, Johnson said that residents are moving away from being “mall-centric.”
Outside The Boro, Block said that Eddie V’s Prime Seafood (7900 Tysons One Place) is “packed” on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
Juliann Clemente, the president of Clemente Development, said that the new members of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors recognize that Tysons will appeal to millennials.
Clemente urged the audience to reach out to the new board and share their dreams, desires and concerns about how to improve Tysons.
Christopher Auth, the divisional vice president of PS Business Parks, said that walkability and green space help attract people. Thinking big, Auth said that he would like to see a university in Tysons — an idea that several other panelists agreed with.
While walkability might sound like simply an infrastructure issue, Johnson said that planners “have to give someone a reason to walk across the street.”
The panelists mentioned how a new grid of streets in Tysons facilitate walkability and connect communities.
“When little neighborhoods pop up, it creates a sense of place,” Cho said.
Paris Baguette is now open for business in The Boro development in Tysons.
The bakery-cafe recently opened at 8344 Broad Street, an employee told Tysons Reporter.
Paris Baguette has more than 80 locations across the U.S.
The location is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends.

Tysons Nail Lounge is now open for business in The Boro after facing some delays.
The salon opened today (Friday, Jan. 10) at noon, Emily Tran, an employee, told Tysons Reporter.
Tysons Nail Lounge was originally slated to open in November at 1640 Boro Place, Suite 205.
The salon offers more than 10 types of manicure and pedicure services, gel manicures, dipping power nails, waxing, massages, facials and eyelashes extensions, Tran said.
“Customers can enjoy sipping on organic teas, coffee, or a glass of wine while getting serviced by one of our highly trained technicians,” Tran said.
Customers can a free manicure with any pedicure or get 20% off any service until Feb. 10 for the salon’s grand opening special.
Tysons Nail Lounge is open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., according to its website.

Updated 1/10/20 — The Casual Pint has delayed its opening to later this month.
Earlier: Hungry for more food options around Tysons? Foodies are in luck — several eateries are set to debut this winter.
In Falls Church, The Casual Pint, a chain watering hole, is scheduled to open this month. The owner of the local franchise told Tysons Reporter that he plans to have a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, Jan. 17 at 6410 Arlington Blvd.
Jersey Mike’s is opening a new spot at 1108-A West Broad Street in Falls Plaza on Wednesday (Jan. 8), according to the sandwich chain’s website.
Over in Tysons, North Italia, an Italian restaurant chain, plans to open Feb. 5 at 1651 Boro Place. The restaurant would be the latest of several newcomers to The Boro development — Flower Child and Whole Food’s food hall and bar opened last year. For job seekers, there’s an ongoing job fair at the restaurant.
In the Town of Vienna, a new tavern is revamping a building along Maple Avenue. Bear Branch Tavern is set to open this winter with two bars, a patio, indoor and outdoor fire pits, an oyster bar, frozen drink machines and bike racks at 133 E. Maple Avenue.
While not a restaurant, Black Dog Beer Shop is set to start selling craft beers near the Dunn Loring-Merrifield Metro station in February. The owner told Tysons Reporter in December that the new store plans to debut at 2672M Avenir Place in early February.

A fish-focused taco spot and Italian restaurant now plan to open in The Boro early next year.
Earlier this fall, a construction contractor working on-site told Tysons Reporter that North Italia was expected this December, but a recent press release says that the restaurant plans to open Feb. 5 at 1651 Boro Place.
The restaurant is slated to host job fair sessions from Jan. 6-18 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., the press release said.

North Italia’s menu is centered around made-from-scratch Italian favorites for lunch, dinner, weekday happy hour and weekend brunch, along with rotating daily specials.

An employee at Fish Taco said that the Maryland-based eatery has pushed its anticipated opening to early January.
For those hoping to get a jump start on their New Year’s resolutions, a new gym opened yesterday (Dec. 16) in The Boro.
F45 (1640 Boro Place, Suite 206) now offers customers a variety of training and workouts, including cardio and strength training, according to the website.
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, the center focuses on helping people improve their cardio. On Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday participants will work on strength and resistance training. The center also offers mixed-exercise classes on Saturdays.
The location is running a promotion for a week of free classes if anyone is interested in the gym. After that, a studio membership costs $50 per week for unlimited classes.
Leading up to its official opening yesterday, the location offered trial classes for community members.
Classes take place throughout the day, beginning at 5:30 a.m. A full schedule can be found online.
Around November, an independently owned Verison Wireless store (8301 Greensboro Drive) opened next door to Tropical Smoothie Cafe. The location offers phones with a variety of carrier plans.

A company that specializes in artificial intelligence, software engineering and weapons platforms recently announced that its new home is in The Boro in Tysons.
Alion Science and Technology lists its new address as 8350 Broad Street, Suite 1400 on its website.
“Alion’s new corporate headquarters reflects the cutting edge innovation and technology solutions that we are providing to our defense and intelligence customers every day,” Alion’s CEO Steve Schorer, said in a press release.
The company previously said it was located at 1750 Tysons Blvd — a building next to Tysons Galleria.
“We look forward to welcoming our customers and our employees to our new corporate location,” Schorer said.
