This November, Wolf Trap returns with new concerts and events.

On Wednesday (Nov.11), D.C. pianist John Eaton will perform songs and stories for the audience, according to the event page. Tickets start at $27 and the event will begin at 11:30 a.m. at The Barns (1635 Trap Road).

Folk singer and guitarist Trace Bundy will take the stage for a performance a few days later on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 6:30 p.m. He is known for his harmonics, looping and multiple caps, according to the event website. Tickets start at $27.

The season will wrap up with three events of performances by Sutton Foster, a Tony Award-winning singer, on Nov. 23-24. Tickets to her performance start at $67 and doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Wolf Trap has a variety of acts lined up for October.

After a short break at the end of summer, the venue will kick off the season on Thursday, Oct. 10, with a performance by singer and songwriter Lucy Kaplansky.

Tickets to Kaplansky’s show are on sale now and start at $28. The performance begins at 6:30 p.m. at The Barns (1635 Trap Road).

Later in the month, The Pat McGee Band will headline two shows on Thursday, Oct. 17, and Friday, Oct. 18, due to popular demand. As a Virginia based rock band, they have played alongside The Who, Counting Crows, Fleetwood Mac and James Taylor, according to their website. Tickets start at $37 and doors open at 6:30 p.m. both nights.

A few big names are coming to the Filene Center at Wolf Trap in September before summer ends.

Closing out Labor Day weekend celebrations, Grammy-award-winning singer Mary J. Blige is set to perform on Tuesday, Sept. 3. Tickets cost $45.

Later that week, Jennifer Hudson is set to bring her signature soul sound. The Grammy and Oscar winner will take the stage with the National Symphony Orchestra. Tickets are $45.

Finally, the venue will host The Gipsy Kings — a group of flamenco, salsa and pop musicians from France that is nearing its 30th anniversary.

Tickets start at $39.50 and include a digital download of The Gipsy King’s upcoming album.

“American Idol” finalist Danny Gokey is set to perform a free show at The Plaza outside Tysons Corner Center later this week.

Earlier this summer, the mall hosted a free summer concert series. Now, the series is back with one more show Friday (July 26)at 6:30 p.m.

Gokey, a gospel and Christian singer, recently released a new album called “Haven’t Seen It Yet.”

Attendees can bring chairs, blankets and sunglasses on a first-come, first-served basis for space.

Thursday (June 27)

• Diana Ross at Wolf Trap — 8-11 p.m. at Wolf Trap (1551 Trap Road) — Motown artist Diana Ross — the singer for classics like “I’m Coming Out” and “Stop! In the Name of Love” — will be performing at Wolf Trap this Thursday. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $40 for lawn seating.

Friday (June 28)

• Summer Concert with Tauren Wells — 6:30-8 p.m. at Tysons Corner Center (1961 Chain Bridge Road) — WGTS 91.9’s concert series continues with Grammy-nominated artist Tauren Wells. The concert is free at The Plaza (near Lord & Taylor) on Friday. Space is first-come, first-served and attendees are invited to bring their own chair or blanket.
• Macbeth Premiere — 8-8:30 at 1st Stage (1524 Spring Hill Road) — The 1st Stage Theater will host a production of The Scottish Play by Britches and Hose Theatre Company. The play premieres on Friday, but will have showings at 8 p.m. on Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Saturday (June 29)

• Yoga at Tysons Biergarten — 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Tysons Biergarten (8346 Leesburg Pike) — An hourlong, all-levels yoga event will be held inside the beer hall of Tysons Biergarten. Online tickets are $25 and walk-in tickets are $30. Tickets include a chip for a beverage after the class.
• Junior Ranger Day — 12-3 p.m. at Wolf Trap (1551 Trap Road) — Children ages 5-12 are invited out to an event at Wolf Trap where they can be a ranger for a day, engaging in scavenger hunts and various ranger programs.
• Feast for Fireworks Tasting Event — 12-4 p.m. at Balducci’s Food Lover’s Market (6655 Old Dominion Drive) — Balducci’s has prepared an early Independence Day celebration. The market is planning to include a grill event and a selection of “summer essentials” for upcoming barbecues.
• Back to the ’90s: Incubus Tribute — 7 p.m. at Jammin’ Java (227 E. Maple Avenue) — Jammin’ Java is hosting a ’90s throwback evening with a celebration of Incubus on the 20th anniversary of the band. The evening will feature Incubus tributes from other bands. Tickets are $15 for general admission.

The Town of Vienna’s free monthly block parties this summer will start on Friday (June 21).

Featuring live music, food trucks and activities, the summer block parties are called “Chillin’ on Church” because they take place on Church Street between Dominion and Mill roads.

Here is the live music line-up:

• June 21: The Deja Gruv Band, playing R&B, funk and soul
• July 19: Mudlark, a classic rock and blues group
• Aug. 16: Big Bad JuJu, a rock and dance cover band
• Sept. 20: Hard Swimmin’ Fish, a jazz and funk ensemble

The summer block parties are from 6:30-9:30 p.m. every third Friday this summer.

The food truck list for this Friday has nearly a dozen vendors, including:

The City of Falls Church’s free summer concert series will return this week.

Now in its 27th year, the annual City of Falls Church Concerts in the Park series highlights local musicians with a show every Thursday this summer at 7 p.m. in Cherry Hill Park (312 Park Avenue).

The lineup this year:

• June 20: Falls Church Concert Band, playing concert music
• June 27: Mountain Fish, a Southern rock and country group
• July 4: to be determined
• July 11: Korybantes, playing ’80s, ’90s and modern rock hits
• July 18: Soul Stew, a Motown band
• July 25: Big Tow, an alternative and blues band
• Aug. 1: Big Howdy, a progressive bluegrass band

Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and a picnic dinner. If it starts to rain, the concert will get moved to the Falls Church Community Center (223 Little Falls Street).

The performer for the Fourth of July concert, which will take place at George Mason High School (7124 Leesburg Pike), has not been named yet.

A free summer concert series will kick off Friday (June 7) in the Town of Vienna.

The town partnered with the Rotary Club of Vienna and other sponsors on the “Summer on the Green Concert Series.”

The concerts start at 6:30 p.m. — unless otherwise noted — on Fridays at the Vienna Town Green (144 E. Maple Avenue).

• June 14: Nowhere Men, an acoustic Beatles tribute band
• June 21: Chillin’ on Church featuring the Deja Gruv Band

Indie pop band Echosmith is one of the groups set to perform in the 2019 Summer Concert Series outside Tysons Corner Center.

The line-up for the free summer concerts in The Plaza outside the mall was recently revealed today (Tuesday). The concerts featuring iHeartRadio artists all take place on Fridays in June.

The schedule is the following:

• June 7: Tucker Beathard
• June 14: Thompson Square
• June 21: Echosmith
• June 28: Tauren Wells

Best known for their 2013 single “Cool Kids,” Echosmith was started by a quartet of siblings. In March, the band released their newest single, “Favorite Sound.”

Tucker Beathard is a singer-songwriter who released a country album called “Nobody’s Everything” last year and a single this year called “Better Than Me.”

Grammy-nominated Thompson Square is a country duo, whose 2018 comeback album “Masterpiece” album gave fans a glimpse into the married couple’s personal lives.

Tauren Wells, a Grammy-nominated Christian rock and pop artist, recently dropped his “God’s Not Done With You” single in April.

Music lovers looking for free concerts can head to McLean on Sundays this summer.

McLean’s returning summer concert series plans to feature a variety of musical styles, including Latin, brass, jazz, Americana and rock.

The concerts run from June 16 to July 29.

June lineup:

• Alphabet Rockers — hip-hop beats for kids
• Jazzy Ash and the Leaping Lizards — New Orleans-style jazz and favorite jazz standards
• Sonia de Los Santos — Latin American family music

July lineup:

• DuPont Brass — a brass band that plays jazz, hip-hop and R&B
• Frontiers — a Journey tribute band
• Justin Trawick and the Common Good — a band led by D.C.-based songwriter Justin Trawick
• Slippery When Wet — a Bon Jovi tribute band

Sponsored by The Alden at the McLean Community Center, the concert series takes place every Sunday afternoon at 5 p.m. in the gazebo of McLean Central Park (1468 Dolley Madison Blvd).
