A crash today (Tuesday) has closed several lanes on Leesburg Pike near the ramp from I-495 in Tysons.
The east left lane and the left center lane are closed, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
Drivers should expect delays due to the crash.

Construction crews are working to fix the cause of a sizable sinkhole that opened up on the GW Parkway back in March — inconveniencing those who regularly travel on the road.
The sinkhole was caused by a failed drainage structure, Aaron LaRocca, a spokesperson of the National Park Service, which maintains the GW Parkway, said.
The structure was made of brick and was originally built more than 60 years ago, he added.
In an attempt to fix the issue, LaRocca said NPS removed the old system which required them to dig 50-feet underground and crews are now in the process of installing a new drainage pipe.
“We know this construction is inconvenient, and we’re working hard to reopen the lane to traffic as soon as it’s safe,” LaRocca said. “We’re looking forward to sharing an update when the work is complete.”
NPS expects to reopen both lanes of traffic by mid-October, LaRocca said, but restoration for the area is expected to last longer.
National Park Service tells @ABC7News both northbound lanes of the GW Parkway near 495 should finally be open by the end of October.

The left lane of eastbound Leesburg Pike at Gosnell Road is closed.
A traffic signal outage caused the lane closure, Fairfax County Police Department tweeted at 9:17 a.m.
Police are on scene, according to the tweet.
Drivers can expect delays.

Lane closures are expected around Vienna this week as part of the I-66 Outside the Beltway Project.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, crews will continue corridor-wide roadway maintenance this week with multi-lane closures along I-66 including stretches near the Dunn Loring Metro station and the Beltway interchange.
On Friday (May 17), I-66 is expected to have lane closures from the Beltway to Nutley Street in Vienna. Three lanes will be closed on the westbound side from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. to implement long-term lane shifts. At the Nutley Street intersection, repaving work is also planned for the median.
VDOT estimates an extra 20-minutes of stoppages, and slowdowns should be expected.

A vehicle was fully engulfed by flames on the Beltway near Tysons Monday morning.
The fire was reported around 10:45 a.m., on the Outer Loop near I-66 and Tysons, according to WTOP Traffic.
Traffic camera images show two left-hand lanes of the Beltway blocked by first responders, as firefighters worked to extinguish the flames. Thick black smoke could be seen billowing into the air prior to the fire being extinguished.

Those traveling on I-66 should be forewarned: removal of the overhead gantry signs will mean three lanes in each direction will be closed from 9 p.m.-9 a.m.
The closures will take place between Route 123 and Gallows Road tonight (Friday). On Saturday, the closures will occur between Blake Lane and I-495.
The closures mean only one lane of traffic in each direction will be open.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), the closures will include periodic traffic stoppages of up to 20 minutes between midnight and 5 a.m. in both directions on I-66.
Michelle Holland, a spokesperson for VDOT, said the closures are necessary for the sign removal, as the crews are unable to work on parts of the gantry while traffic is continuing on the street below.
Daytime lane closures are expected on Sunday (Jan. 27) for lane striping work on I-66 between Gainesville and I-495. Two lanes will be closed on eastbound and westbound I-66 as crews refresh pavement markings between 12-4 p.m.

Three lanes of northbound traffic are closed on I-495 are closed near the American Legion Bridge due to a jackknifed tractor trailer.
The crash was reported around 2:30 p.m. on the northbound lanes of the Beltway near Georgetown Pike, just before the bridge. As of 3 p.m., VDOT cameras showed traffic backing up past Tysons to around the Route 7 interchange.
Three lefthand lanes of the Beltway are currently closed. Virginia State Police, firefighters, an ambulance and a heavy duty tow truck are currently on the scene.
Firefighters contained a small fuel spill from the crashed truck, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue.
In addition to the northbound delays, traffic heading southbound is also backed up prior to the crash scene, with delays extending to the top side of the Beltway in Maryland.
