A matcha-focused ice cream and drink cafe will soon arrive in Tysons Corner Center.
The mall’s website says that Matcha Cafe Maiko is “coming soon” to a kiosk on the second level by the door leading to The Plaza.
Matcha Cafe Maiko first opened in Hawaii and has since expanded to stores in five more states, including Virginia, according to its website.
The online menu features shaved ice, soft serve, lattes, teas, floats, sweet red bean soup and parfaits.
Can’t wait until it opens in Tysons? The closest — and only — store in Virginia is in Centreville at 5947 Centreville Crest Lane.

“American Idol” finalist Danny Gokey is set to perform a free show at The Plaza outside Tysons Corner Center later this week.
Earlier this summer, the mall hosted a free summer concert series. Now, the series is back with one more show Friday (July 26)at 6:30 p.m.
Gokey, a gospel and Christian singer, recently released a new album called “Haven’t Seen It Yet.”
Attendees can bring chairs, blankets and sunglasses on a first-come, first-served basis for space.

A new lingerie store is now open in Tysons Corner Center.
A branch of Hollister, Gilly Hicks primarily sells underwear and lingerie for teenagers or young adults.
After originally closing stores nationwide, it was reintroduced in 2017 due to customer demand and the company is still expanding. The opening in Tysons is one of four new locations across the United States, according to a Gilly Hicks press release.
The new location in Tysons is part of a pop-up type shop called BrandBox, which invites companies to rent out “flexible retail concept spaces,” according to the press release. It is located on the bottom level of the mall near Barnes and Noble.
The Fairfax County Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify a suspect linked to Tysons Corner Center fraud.
Police said they are looking for the “man suspected of stealing a credit card and making fraudulent purchases at Tysons Corner Center earlier this month.

The Helzberg Diamonds at the corner of the Tysons Corner Center food court is temporarily closed as the store seems to be mid-takeover for the adjacent vacant space.
The diamond store seems to be devouring the former Wetzel’s Pretzels, which closed earlier this month.
A sign at the construction-barrier notes that Helzberg Diamonds can still be found at a temporary location near the Lord & Taylor on the mall’s first floor.
The move leaves Pokeworks surrounded by empty space after Sweet Leaf’s closure, which was a part of a recent series of casualties in the first floor of the food court.
Tysons Corner Center just welcomed its second poke place, adding to the veg-friendly eatery options in the mall.
Poki DC debuted in the food court on the third level over the weekend and is letting diners buy one regular bowl with two proteins and get a second one for free until Friday (June 21) to celebrate the opening.
Inspired by Hawaiian cuisine, the D.C.-based eatery offers build-your-own bowls and mochi.
Down on the first level, the mall has another poke place — Pokéworks, which serves up poke burritos, bowls and salads.
Canadian clothing brand Roots plans to open in Tysons Corner Center later this year.
A sign outside the store says that Roots will arrive in October in the former Aldo space on the second level by the Victoria’s Secret.
The company sells women’s, men’s and kids’ clothing, with a focus on leisure wear and leather goods branded with the beaver logo.
Started in Toronto in 1973, Roots now has more than 120 stores across North America, according to its website.
For shoppers who can’t wait until October, Roots has stores in the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City and Georgetown.
After a temporary closure, the Aveda salon is open again in Tysons Corner Center.
Tysons Reporter spotted that the salon was closed in April and noticed that it was open again last Wednesday (June 5). Signs said the salon was undergoing renovations.
The national cosmetics company focuses on eco-friendly hair and skin care products.
Aveda is located on the lower level by Nordstrom.
Gilly Hicks, a lingerie brand by Hollister, may soon arrive in Tysons Corner Center.
Hollister revived Gilly Hicks two years ago when the intimates market started to grow as more brands focused on selling bras and underwear geared toward teen consumers.
Building permits indicate that Gilly Hicks plans to occupy a space within BrandBox, a collection of pop-up stores in the mall, on the lower level near H&M. Hollister is also on the first level by Macy’s.
Abercrombie & Fitch Co., which owns Hollister, is on the second level, directly above the BrandBox spaces.
People outside Tysons Corner Center might have noticed a farmers market last Sunday (June 9).
Community Foodworks announced on Friday (June 7) that the Tysons Farmers Market relocated from 8400 Westpark Drive to The Plaza.
Community Foodworks, a nonprofit that works to connect food from farmers to underserved populations, operates 15 farmers markets in Northern Virginia and D.C.

The Tysons Farmers Market runs from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sundays through November.
