A Bed Bath & Beyond in Tysons was robbed last week, Fairfax County police said this afternoon (Friday).

According to the Fairfax County Police Department’s latest weekly recap, someone forced their way into the store at 2051 Chain Bridge Road around 5:58 a.m. on Feb. 19. The person then “took property and ran away.”

The FCPD also reported today that they had arrested two suspects in a robbery that occurred around 8:23 p.m. on Wednesday (Feb. 24) at the intersection of Robert Lane and Monticello Drive in the West Falls Church area.

A man walking home was approached by two juveniles who displayed a firearm, stole his personal property and left the area. No injuries were reported. The suspects were found by officers nearby and taken into custody after a foot pursuit. Charges for the juveniles are pending.

Fairfax County police received multiple reports of robberies and larcenies in the McLean District this week.

According to the Fairfax County Police Department’s weekly recap, two men shoplifted merchandise from Saks Fifth Avenue (2051 International Dr.) at Tysons Galleria around 4:04 p.m. on Jan. 10. When leaving, they threatened to assault a store employee.

Then, at 8:15 p.m. on Jan. 14, a man and a woman took two carts of merchandise without paying from Safeway on 6244 Old Dominion Dr. in McLean. They reportedly assaulted two employees while leaving the grocery store.

No injuries were reported in either incident.

The FCPD also confirmed today that it received two separate reports of larceny on Jan. 13 from people whose vehicles were robbed at Clemyjontri Park in McLean around 5 p.m. that day. In both cases, the vehicle windows were broken, and personal items were taken.

“We would like to remind our community members to hide valuables that must be left in a vehicle, even if you are stepping away for just a few minutes,” FCPD Sgt. Tara Gerhard said.

Fairfax County police suggest placing purses, laptop bags, and larger items in the trunk of the vehicle and hiding loose change, phones, or other small valuable items “that could make your vehicle an easy target for a criminal.”

The Fairfax County Police Department is investigating two different armed robberies that took place in Tysons last week.

The first took place in the 8300 block of Greensboro Drive at 3:39 p.m. on Nov. 14. The victim was approached by a man with a knife who demanded money. The man “forcibly took a wallet from the victim before walking away from the area,” the FCPD reported in its weekly recap on Nov. 20.

The victim in that incident suffered injuries, but they were not life-threatening.

The second reported incident occurred at 2:19 a.m. on Nov. 19 in the 8600 block of Westwood Center Drive.

According to Fairfax County police, two men armed with guns forced their way into a hotel room occupied by three victims. The men assaulted one of the victims and took cash and personal property before walking away from the area.

The assaulted victim was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police say.

According to a police report, two acquaintances were robbed at gunpoint earlier this week at Tysons Corner Center (1961 Chain Bridge Road).

The police said the incident happened on Tuesday, Oct. 13, around 8:11 p.m. According to the report:

Two acquaintances reported they were returning to their car when they were approached by three men. The men displayed firearms, demanded their money and merchandise, and ran away. No injuries were reported.

Other crimes around the McLean district this week included a carjacking at gunpoint on Saturday, Oct. 10. The incident reportedly happened at the Residence Inn at 8400 Old Courthouse Road. According to the report:

A man reported that he was in a parking lot when a man approached him, displayed a gun and demanded his car keys. The man drove away in the victim’s 2018 Mercedes sedan after taking cash and personal property. No injuries were reported.

Fairfax County police say that a T-Mobile in McLean was robbed Monday night.

The incident happened shortly after 7 p.m. at 1400 Chain Bridge Road, Suite 100.

“A man entered the store, implied he had a gun and demanded items from inside the safe,” police said. “He left the store in a car and lookout information was broadcasted.”

Police said that the car was later stopped in D.C., adding that charges are pending further investigation.

In a separate incident, police say that someone stole lawn equipment from a home in the 7400 block of Allan Avenue in the Falls Church area.

(Updated at 11:05 a.m.) A robbery happened at the CVS pharmacy in the Town of Vienna, local police say.

The incident occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m. last Monday (Dec. 16) at 337 Maple Avenue E.

Vienna police said a woman dressed in black clothing and a head covering went up to the cashier at the CVS pharmacy “in a very aggressive manner and demanded all the money from the register while reaching into her jacket pocket.”

“The cashier, fearing that she may have a weapon, surrendered all the money from the register and the suspect left the scene,” police said.

Police officers, detectives, and a K-9 unit responded and searched the area but were unable to find the suspect. Officers and detectives on the scene obtained vital information that was broadcast to surrounding jurisdictions. Shortly after this robbery, a suspect fitting the same description committed another robbery in Fairfax County and was apprehended after leaving the scene of the second robbery.

In a separate incident, three roommates in the 600 block of Tapawingo Road SW reported to the Vienna Police Department that their parked vehicles’ tires were slashed with a sharp instrument between the night of Dec. 16 and the morning of Dec. 17.

After a chase, Fairfax County police caught the woman they say robbed a CVS near Glory Days Grill.

The incident happened around 9 p.m. on Monday (Dec. 16) at 3053 Nutley Street.

Police say a woman went into the store and demanded money from the cashier.

“A woman matching her description was later seen in the area of another CVS in Annandale and officers attempted a traffic stop,” according to the report. “The driver sped off and hit another car before fleeing on foot.”

Police chased and caught a 35-year-old woman from Delaware and charged her with robbery and felony hit and run.

Fairfax County police arrested a man they say was unlawfully recording women at Tysons Corner Center.

The incident happened on Saturday (Dec. 14) shortly before 7 p.m.

Police spotted a man, who had previously been banned from the property, “unlawfully recording two women,” according to the crime report.

A 45-year-old man from Maryland was arrested for two counts of unlawful filming and trespassing.

In a separate incident, Fairfax County police are looking for the woman who allegedly stole merchandise from the Target (2905 District Avenue) in the Mosaic District.

The incident occurred shortly before 10 p.m. on Sunday (Dec. 15).

“As the suspect exited the store, she assaulted the loss prevention officer,” police said. “The suspect is described as Hispanic or Asian.”
