City of Falls Church police are looking for the burglar(s) who sawed into a jewelry store’s safe.

“At this time, it appears one or more suspects broke into the vacant store at 1118 W. Broad Street (formerly Apple Federal Credit Union), entered the adjacent Yassini Jewelry store (1120 W. Broad Street) by breaking through the cinderblock wall, gained entry into the store safe with a saw, then fled the scene,” Clare Casey, a spokesperson for the City of Falls Church, told Tysons Reporter.

The incident occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m. yesterday (Monday, Nov. 26).

“It is unknown the items taken or the estimated value at this time,” Casey added. “Police do not have a description of the suspect(s), and there are no surveillance photos or video available at this time.”

Fairfax County police are investigating a burglary at the Stohlman Automotive Subaru in Tysons.

The incident occurred shortly before 1 a.m. on Sunday (Nov. 11) at the 8433 Leesburg Pike.

“Someone broke into the dealership and stole a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta,” police said.

(Updated at 2:45 p.m.) The Fairfax County Police Department is investigating burglaries in Tysons Galleria that have left two jewelry stores with smashed windows.

The incident happened around 4 a.m. today (Nov. 5), Sgt. Greg Bedor, a police spokesperson, told Tysons Reporter.

The police department used its helicopter to search for “several suspects,” Bedor said.

Tysons Reporter spotted smashed windows at the David Yurman and Liljenquist & Beckstead Swiss Watches stores this afternoon. Both stores are closed.

The rest of the stores in the mall appeared to be open.

Bedor confirmed that two stores were burglarized. Police cleared the mall (2001 International Drive) around 11 a.m., Bedor said.

Bedor said that Tysons Galleria is not open 24/7 — the hours listed on the mall’s website indicate that the mall opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday, with different hours on Sundays.

“Detectives are reviewing security camera footage for possible suspect information,” Bedor said, declining to provide more information on the suspects.

Fairfax County police are looking for the man who allegedly robbed a woman in Tysons.

“The victim was getting something out of her car when she was approached by a man who displayed a knife and took her purse and ran away,” police said.

The incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 26) in the 8000 block of Towers Crescent Drive.

“The suspect was described as a black man, 20s, 5’9″, 160 pounds, wearing a black jacket and jeans,” police said.

Police are also investigating two house burglaries that happened on Friday (Oct. 25) in the Dranesville District.

The first burglary happened around 7:30 p.m. in the 11oo block of Orlo Drive, which is by Rocky Run, according to the police report.

The second occurred around 9:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Savile Lane in McLean.

“Someone broke into a home and stole personal items,” police said about both incidents.

Fairfax County police are investigating a burglary at the Koons Tysons Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram dealership in Tysons.

The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday (Aug. 22) at 2050 Chain Bridge Road.

“A suspect broke into the business and stole cash,” police said.

Fairfax County police arrested three people in connection with a burglary at a Maserati dealership in Tysons.

The incident occurred shortly after midnight Thursday (Aug. 1) at 8448 Leesburg Pike.

Officers responded to a report of several suspects that were seen inside a dealership. The suspects ran when officers arrived. Two suspects were immediately caught by officers and a third suspect was caught with the assistance of a police K9.

Police arrested and charged an 18-year-old man from D.C. with burglary and destruction of property. “Two juveniles face similar charges,” police said.

In a separate incident, more Infiniti cars were stolen from the Infiniti dealer at 8527 Leesburg Pike around 4 a.m. on Wednesday (July 31).

“Someone broke into the business and stole a 2015 Infinity QX60 and a 2009 Infinity FX35,” according to police.

The dealership also had a 2012 Infiniti QX 56 and a 2008 Infiniti M35 stolen on Thursday, July 25, and a 2011 Infiniti G35 and a 2010 Infiniti FX35 taken in June.

Fairfax County police arrested a kid for allegedly stealing someone’s phone near the Tysons Corner Metro station.

The incident occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on Tuesday (July 30) at 7902 Tysons One Plaza.

“The victim was sitting on the steps to the plaza when the suspect took the victim’s phone and ran away,” according to a police report.

Police said that they found and arrested the suspect.

Separate incidents on Tuesday included three home burglaries in McLean and one attempted commercial burglary in Tysons.

Police said that someone entered a home in the 7900 block of Old Cedar Court overnight through an unlocked door and took personal documents and jewelry.

Around 9 a.m., a homeowner reported to police that someone damaged a door, entered the home in the 7300 block of Hooking Road overnight and stole electronics.

Police said someone entered a home in the 11000 block of Old Stage Court through an unlocked door and took jewelry around 4:15 p.m.

An employee at Shiraz Market (8486 Tyco Roa) reported to the police that someone damaged the windows and door of the building, but nothing was taken.

The Fairfax County Police Department is investigating a robbery, an attempted robbery and three burglaries that occurred in Tysons and McLean last week.

On Thursday (July 18), a man reported to police that he was walking around the 8300 block of Leesburg Pike around 10 p.m. when a man demanded money from him.

“The suspect took the victim’s money and left the area,” police said. “The suspect is described as black, 5’10, in his late teens and wearing a white tank top.”

The next day (Friday), an attempted robbery occurred around 11:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of Pinnacle Drive.

A woman was sitting in her car when a man approached, demanded her property and attempted to open her door. The man did not take anything and left the area. The suspect is described as white, in his 30’s, with a crew cut and wearing a large backpack.

Sometime between Friday and Saturday, two Chinese restaurants in McLean were burglarized, police said.

An employee at House of Fortune (6715 Lowell Avenue) reported to the police that someone entered and took property from inside. Nearby, someone broke a window and took property from inside Wok N Roll (1371 Beverly Road).

On Saturday, someone entered the Caliber Collision (1572 Spring Hill Road) in Tysons overnight and stole several sets of car keys, police said.

Fairfax County police are investigating a burglary at Iron Chef House in the Mosaic District.

“Someone broke into the business and stole cash and electronics,” according to the police report.

The incident occurred between 3-4 a.m. last Wednesday (July 10) at 2985 District Avenue.

Fairfax County police are looking for the burglar or burglars who broke into three stores in downtown McLean over the weekend.

The McLean Hair Center (1438 Center Street), Figuroes Salon (1439 Center Street) and McLean Pizza (1434 Center Street) all were broken into overnight on Sunday (June 30) and had cash taken, according to police.

Elsewhere, police said someone broke into the Rosenthal Nissan Mazda of Tysons Corner dealership (8525 Leesburg Pike) and stole a 2017 Hyundai Accent and a 2016 Nissan Altima around midnight on Saturday (June 29).
