Fairfax County Police are investigating an overnight burglary at a gas station in McLean.
Police say a man broke into the Chesterbrook Excel station just before 2 a.m. Friday and stole cigarettes. The burglary was discovered when employees found a garage bay window shattered.

6268 Old Dominion Drive (Chesterbrook Excel Gas Station), 11/30/18, 1:50a.m. Employees of the gas station arrived at work to find the shop had been broken into through a garage bay window. Video surveillance showed that a male of unknown race wearing jeans, a puffy winter jacket, and a mask, broke into the store and stole cigarettes.

For the second time in as many weeks, someone smashed in the door of the Enterprise Rent-a-Car on Spring Hill Road in Tysons.
The incident happened over the weekend. Fairfax County Police noted in a crime report that “this time nothing was taken,” a contrast from two weeks ago when a vehicle was reported stolen.
“Detectives are following up on leads,” FCPD said. More from the crime report:
BURGLARY / DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: 1572 block of Spring Hill Road, (Enterprise), 10-14-2018, between 12:01 – 8:10 a.m. When employees arrived to work in the morning they noticed that the front door had been smashed in. The business was broken into recently but this time nothing was taken. Detectives are following up on leads.

The Enterprise Rent-a-Car location near the Spring Hill Metro station was the scene of a commercial burglary over the weekend.
Police say someone broke into the business, at 1572 Spring Hill Road, on either Saturday or Sunday by smashing a glass front door. An SUV was then stolen off the lot.
Employees discovered the burglary when they arrived to open the business, according to Fairfax County Police. No suspect description was released.

The 8600 block of Westwood Center Drive is typically a quiet grouping of offices with some ground floor retail, but late Sunday (Sept. 23) evening it was the scene of a burglary.
Police would not say which store of business was hit, but did report that around 10:19 p.m. a man broke into one of the businesses by prying open the door. Most of the retail on the south side of the block consists of small restaurants, like Subway and Paisano’s, while Walmart sits to the north of the block.
According to the police report, several small safes were broken into and the cabinets were rifled through. The exact amount of cash stolen was undisclosed.
