A combination of a bubble tea shop and electronic dance music lounge is set to arrive soon along Maple Avenue.
Currently in Falls Church at the Eden Center, TeaDM Lounge plans to open a new location at 142 Maple Ave W. — the former spot of E.G. Comics.
A TeaDM Lounge employee told Tysons Reporter that a grand opening is expected near the end of April.
Locals who don’t want to wait the month can head to 6765 Wilson Blvd for a taste of the bubble tea, flavored tea, coffee and smoothies paired with electric beats.

Kriser’s Natural Pet, a pet store chain featuring natural food, treats and supplies, will open soon in the Mosaic District.
Sandwiched between Sweetgreen and Nordine Salon and Day Spa, the store will include a grooming area at 2905 District Ave, Suite 180.
Kriser’s offers a variety of food types and supplies available for cats and dogs, along with daycare, grooming and training services.
An employee at Kriser’s told Tysons Reporter that the soft opening is slated for April 13, followed by a grand opening on May 4 for the store.
Locals may have spotted the other nearby locations in Vienna at 144 Maple Ave W. and in Tysons at 7505 Leesburg Pike inside the Whole Foods shopping center.
The Mosaic District spot is also hiring humans — furry four-legged friends need not apply.
“Turns out corgis are adorable but make terrible employees,” a sign on the storefront says.
The Town of Vienna is poised to rev up public parking discussions again, after recently dropping a plan that would have made it easier to park in the town’s central business district.
One month ago, the Town of Vienna said it had dissolved an agreement to use a four-story commercial building on Church Street as a public parking garage. Now, the push for public parking is making a comeback.
The Town Business Liaison Committee and Mayor Laurie DiRocco are set to host a community brainstorming session about public parking.
The meeting later this week aims to gather feedback from business owners, problem-solve and consider future options, the event description says.
Anyone interested in going can head to the Town Hall (127 S. Center Street) from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday (March 14).
Updated at 2:25 p.m. — Police said at 2:20 p.m. that “at this time there is no evidence to substantiate the threat” after completing their search. The bank is resuming its normal operations.
Earlier: Police are on the scene of a potential bomb threat at Provident Bank (7799 Leesburg Pike) in Falls Church.
Fairfax County Police said in a tweet this afternoon, below, that “a man called the bank indicating a bomb threat.”
Police told Tysons Reporter that the front desk was notified of a vague threat with very little credible information and after a search of the building no suspicious objects were found.
Following the threat, police remained at the scene to continue investigating the source of the call.

Last Wednesday an employee at Vienna Jewelry (131 W. Maple Ave.) noticed several women in the store “acting suspiciously” and called police, according to the monthly Vienna Police highlights.
The employee followed one of the women as she quickly exited a back room and fled out the side door with the other women to a waiting van. The vehicle took off northbound on Lawyers Road and then stopped a few blocks away from the store, with the women running off in different directions. Police found and identified some of the van’s occupants.
According to the report, the store employees are checking the store’s inventory but did not immediately notice anything missing.
Also in the crime report, food is showing up in some unwelcome places around Vienna.
A resident on the 500 block of Walker Street called the police to report that an unknown person dumped a large garbage bag full of dozens of loose donuts into the bed of his truck sometime after last Sunday (Nov. 4). Several donuts also wound up in front of the storm drain on the street. According to the tongue-in-cheek report on the incident, “the officer was upset to discover that the donuts were no longer edible… wild animals had gotten to those donuts before the officers could.”
Finally, two residents reported vandalism by eggs just days apart. On Oct. 29, a resident on the 900 block of Echols Street SE said someone threw eggs at one of her home’s windows. Then, on Halloween, a resident on the 400 block of Echols Street SE said someone threw eggs at both his vehicle parked in front of his residence and one of its second-level windows.
