Search for Suspect in Fatal Mount Vernon Shooting Continues — “Officers conducted a manhunt the afternoon of Nov. 3 for a wanted person reported to be in the basement of a home in the 8700 block of Millbrook Place…A subsequent Tweet from FCPD identified the man as Kyjuan Omar Braxton Trott and said the suspect was not found in the home that was searched.” [On the MoVe]

Police Investigate Batch of Centreville Shootings — “Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau are currently investigating a series of overnight shootings in Centreville. Taxi Fuel Surcharge Up for Public Hearing — The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing at 4 p.m. on Dec. 6 to determine whether to authorize a new emergency surcharge for taxi rides of $1 per trip to mitigate rising fuel prices. The board has approved surcharges twice this year, first in April and again in June. If passed again, the fee would be in effect from Dec. 30 through June 30. [Sun Gazette]
